What's the best way to play downloaded movies on my TV?

Question

Upstairs we have a PVR computer which records shows and we use it to play downloaded movies. I probably want to keep this computer upstairs.

We have a new TV downstairs which we can use the Xbox 360 to stream the shows from upstairs, but it can't stream downloaded movies.

What's the best way to watch downloaded movies on our downstairs computer? We need to keep the Xbox downstairs and I need to be able to watch my shows upstairs.

Here's what I thought of so far:

1. Build another computer for downstairs.

Or

2. Start using SageTV and buy the SageTV extender for downstairs.

What other options do I have?

For wireless data tranfer:

Look into using tversity.  Its free and works with my Ps3 so im not %100 sure if it works for the 360.

Also theres a new product from SANSA called takeTV.  Ive heard really good reviews from it.  The only down side to me was output resolution.

get a ps3 lov, and enable media sharing on your wireless netword and upstairs pc, so that you can view all your videos on your ps3.

Download from PC.

You need your Xbox 360 to be modified with a mod-chip before you play games or movies.

Of course it can play any game of your own, and any movie (also DivX as you asked) as you wish after you get your Xbox 360 mod-chip installed!

It's a very mature technical now so it won't have problem if you get your Xbox 360 modified.

Also you can download any PAL or NTSC Xbox 360 game as you wish online now.

About the downloading and backup and copy games service: There are serveral sites providing such download services. They are very excellent on the contents, not only Complete big Xbox 360 games like Metroid, LOR, American Idols and Guitar Heroes etc. But also many movies, Xbox 360 tv shows, music and videos much more!!!

All you need is to join one of those sites to download so many resources. So you can download all those media as you wish!

And some sites can provide simple software help you to burn the ISO Games into DVDs, it is very easy and fast. After the instructions by them, you can go ahead to play those games you burned onto your Xbox 360.
