Question:

What's the best way to pre-make pizzas for a party?

I'd like to prepare some really nice homemade pizza/flatbreads for a party. I'm going to grill them. I was thinking the best way might be to make the doughs, roll them and freeze them, then assemble them frozen and then put them on the grill. Would that work? I don't want them to sog, but I want to do as much as I can ahead. Thanks!

  1. I suggest par-baking the crusts.  Roll out the dough, then bake the crusts for 7 minutes.  Assemble and grill during the party.  They'll bake quickly, and be easy to assemble.

  2. precook the crust for 3-4min.put sauce&toppings on finish cooking.

  3. You can pre-make them as far as to just before baking - roll out the dough, add tomatosauce, sprinkle cheese and add filling .. and freeze :)

If you don't use all the pre-made pizzas, you'll have some for yourself some day in the future, when you don't feel like cooking.
