What's the best way to put a hole in a belt?

Theres a hand held device which cuts out a small disc. Mine had a rotating head with 4 sizes, and would leave a very neat hole.  I also use a 3mm drill bit in an electric drill.

a ice pick i use this when i need to make a extra hole in a belt or maybe a needle and stretch out the hole

take a screwdriver and mark where you want to make the hole with a pen.

Believe it or not, use an ice pick and a hammer. It makes a small hole and does not rip the leather, or the what ever the belt is made of.

make a hole with a knife, then push it through the buckle and it will get bigger.

I try to poke a hole with either a pair of scissors or a knife, but carefully of course! They also sell the belt hole punchers, I just don't know where you could go to get one of those.
