What's the best way to react when.......?

your partner fancies someone else?

last night we were at a party and we get talking to this guy (the boyfriend of one of her friends) and it's clear that she fancies him, BUT she didn't flirt with him or anything.

how are you supposed to react?

i just got generally arsey and then started an argument with her about something completely unrelated later on. is that the wrong way to react? :)

If I had been in your situation I would have gone up to my boyfriend and been all about him - let her know shes wasting her time in even bothering to try and flirt with him - Id have made sure my boyfriends attention was all about me then just to p her off even more

You're partner may fancy this guy but it seems clear that she's not acting on impulse, she's got enough respect to steer clear. Everyone in a relationship get crushes but its rare that they ever mean anything and only a very small percentage ever try to flirt or further. spend the weekend making her feel really special and she'll soon have no one in her head but you, she's lucky that you care enough about your relationship to ask

good luck and next time if you feel a little insecure let her know how you feel about her .

It's not that it's the wrong way to react--Maybe not the most appropriate, but not wrong b/c it's the way you felt.  

Whatever you do, just try not to argue with her or seem insecure b/c that will not put you in the best light.  If this happens more frequently and you feel insecure just let her know that it makes you feel awkward.

And whatever you do just make her see you're the most amazing guy by pampering her and making her feel special and loved that way she won't even want to look at anyone else.
