What's the best way to remove stubborn grease?

it's on metal... idk what kind of metal it is... it's kind of like a pot, but not expensive

how do you get stubborn grease off, that has accumulated over a long time...?

  1. You have grease on metal to get off of? Thinner. Paint thinner. Or even soak it in diesel but then you'll still have to use some thinner to get the diesel off.


  2. Buy "Brillo" or "SOS" sponges. Using gloves, spray some "Easy Off" oven cleaner into a glass bowl ( carefully, make sure you don't inhale the fumes), then spread it on the grease stain with a brush (I use a paint brush). Let it stand for a couple of minutes and scrub with a sponge for a while.  Rinse.  Repeat as many times as needed until the grease disappears.  If the pot is stainless steel, it will get like new immediately. If it is aluminum, polish with the same kind of sponges with a little "Soft Scrub". In the future, do this as soon as you see a grease stain to keep your pots shinny    

  3. Use a spray degreaser and follow the directions.
