I recently moved and left my PC. That had all my songs and videos and everything, so I'd like to rip everything that I've put on my iPod and would like to copy it onto this laptop for backup so I can listen and watch my media, as well as continue to add to the collection. Thanks for your answers.

  1. I've Tried Doing This Lots Of Ways :\

Don't Think You Can Take Files Off iPods :[

  2. OK, I've done this plenty of times.

You need to plug in your iPod, as usual.

Go to your iTunes, and go to iPod option, and click Enable disk use.

Then go to my computer, click on the iPod icon, and from there ...go to Tools, Folder options..and then click view. From there,,,scroll down 'til you see "Show hidden files and folders" and click that option.

Then go back to your iPod icon, and you'll see some folders..usually gray. Click the one that says iPod Control...and your files will be stored in these! Save them to your computer and you're set!

However, some files names get changed...so you may have to go through them and fix them. That's the only downfall.

    Hope that works!

  3. Ive had that happen to me before and all i had to do was connect my ipod and a notice came up that asked to sync my computer to my ipod. if that notice shows click yes and all files will be imported back onto your PC.

    Good Luck!
