I want burn 2 gigabytes of files for someone that only has a CD reader on their computer.

What's the best way to get a file this size across to someone that only has a CD reader? (I don't want to ZIP, put it on a Flash card, or set up an FTP). They're not very tech savvy people at all.

  1. You could have a look here, open a free account

http://www.sendthisfile.com but even this i believe you can only send up to 1000 mb at a time, so cant you send it in 3 chunks?

Just checked, it says no file size limit

  2. if they are 2 gb of files (with an S) why don't you just fill a disc at a time?

If it is one file bigger than 650Mb then you have no choice than to zip or choose an alternative format or transfer

  3. Zip's your only answer.  Use your zip software to create a self-extracting zip file and spread it over multiple CDs.

  4. use a memory stick if it has a usb

  5. email

  6. Well you can't send it by email unless you break it up into 10 MB bits. That's the maximum you can send by email at one time including the attachment.

The only thing you can do is to put it on a 2 Gb Flash drive and send it through the post.

Either that you will have to split it into 3 and put it on CDs and put that through the post.
