  1. I love it when you ask a question and all you get are smart *** responses.

Here is my suggestion....  It is NOT possible first of all to start a magazine for free, but you can save a ton of money if you take the time to network and build your resources.

Start with the idea, save some money for minimal expenses.

Go to a local college and find writers and designers who can help you with your magazine for free or low pay.  Students will usually do free or cheap work if it will give them the opportunity for work experience or to get published in a legitimate print magazine.

I started a magazine about a year ago, although it did cost me money, it cost nowhere near what everyone said it would.  I did my homework and found every possible resource I could that would assist me for little or nothing.  After the magazine was in print for 2 months and I had an income being generated from paid advertisers I started paying the people that were helping me.

    Anything is possible!

  2. Well, do you have any friends who could help you? Do you know anyone who are artists or that  you could interview or something?  Use them.  If you have a computer just make a mini one on there and give tons to friends to pass around.  It will hopefully do well and get popular!  I could help more if I knew what your idea was.

    I hope this helps.

  3. Generally when people have an entrepreneurial idea, but don't have the money for it, they choose one of two primary means.

The first is to seek a sponsor. In your case, it sounds like you'd be wanting to seek donations from people within the religious community. In either case, the best  way to do this is to put together some examples of what you'd expect the final product to be and pitch it to some people.

In another case, you could simply take out a loan which is as often as not, the way small businesses usually are formed.

    Good luck with your magazine.

  4. Find some money. At the very least you need paper, which isn't free.
