What's the best way to tape a hockey stick?

from heel to toe or from the middle of the blade to the toe? and what are the differences?

I tape heel to toe. It seems to stick on better and stay on a little longer

you tape heel to toe to keep it from tearing easy.  the tape wil overlap the way the puck should slide off the stick

Hold the microphone close to the blade and talk very quietly. The stick speaks very softly and the sound is difficult to pick up unless there is total quiet.

I favor heel to toe for two reasons (1) the blade gets larger as you work towards the toe , hence less puckering (2) as you skate , if you have taped heel to toe the overlap does not allow for a rough patch of ice to catch a tape ridge and furrow it or rip it. Also when done , coat your tape job with wax to prevent the tape from holding moisture from the water on the ice.
