lmfao I doubt aliens are like how they are in Roswell.....gorgeous, looking human type people..so it'd be hard to tell. I honastly believe that they exsist.....not sure though.

I think  they'd be creatures. Like maybe like ET, but smaller, and maybe not as cute.

There is no surefire way for the average person to tell if someone is illegal due to the fact that some have legal driver licenses, work normal jobs (meaning they are not day-laborers), can have bank accounts, own houses, etc.  There is no particular "look" either.  We have illegal immigrants from Canada, too.

why do you care if people are illegal? why do you want to know? they are willing to work hard for  minimum wage like in the fills. I don't see no Americans working in the fills

You can't tell really, but if your a gambling person, I'd put my money on the guys hanging out front of the home depot are illegal.  Odds would definitely be in your favor that they are : )  Can't argue with stats or numbers.

There is no way to tell by race/gender/religion/ etc etc

Americans come from various different ethnic backgrounds so you can't judge people that are different from the majority to be non American.

However, the only way to know is for the authorities to do a background check of some sort.

Look for the ppl that don't ' fit ' into the typical ' American ' vision. For kicks I walk around with a camera like a Japanese tourist and gesture alot and have stupids pose for me while grinning like I don't know what their saying. It's fun to do especially to racists. I look for tats and pick them.

Merely asking them a few questions should make it quite clear.

It is very difficult to tell an illegal alien from a legitimate immigrant who entered America the right way which is why the whole idea of illegal aliens is so unappealing to the vast majority of American and the world for that matter. The first step is to go with the percentages like some of the other answerer's mentioned. For example, if you saw a Suburban on the highway with 25 people in it odds are good that they are illegal aliens. It's pretty simple stuff actually.
