What's the best way to transfer my itunes library from my desktop computer to my new laptop?

I've installed itunes on my new laptop and hit transfer purchases from ipod but that doesn't work. So what's the easiest way to get my whole library over to my laptop? Thanks so much!!!

use a blank cd and burn your library on to it

get a blank cd(or disk drive)>>>on your desktop find the itunes library folder>>>>just drag the whole thing onto the blank cd(or disk drive) and then put it on your laptop drag the entire library into itunes.
