id have to say by plane because its faster and its more fun.

either by car or by train. Be aware that the dates you are travelling are high seasons because just before Christmas. If you travel by train you better book much in advance, if you are travelling by car, be prepared for heavy traffic.

Travelling by plane is expensive and would take you more time than by either train or car... Venice is abour 2 hrs, and Florence about 4 hrs from Bergamo.
