What's the best way to travel in Rome and what's off the beaten track not touristie and where to eat?

i can give you two names of restaurants, where you eat very well for normal prices... la bruschetta in via sardegna, near via veneto, and quattro mori, behind the stpeter&paul.

in rome you can buy a bus/metro ticket for 5 euro's a day, you can use it all day. the tickets you buy at the tabac-shop!!!

Where to eat in Rome without paying too much? "Osteria del sostegno" Via delle Colonnelle 5. Try it...try eat! ;)

I think the best way to travel though Rome is by feet and by the tube...
