Question:

What's the best website for diagnosing what my daughter's rash may be?

My daughter woke up from nap with red cheeks and is getting a rash on the rest of her, her trunk and her one arm so far, I'm looking all over for websites with PICTURES of various rashes so I can match it. It's not a heat rash as her skin is cool to the touch and it's not in her pits or chubby folds, lol. Her appetitie is off a bit but other than that she's acting fairly normal, maybe a bit more grumpy than usual, but nothing alarming. I'm just trying to figure out if it's fifth's disease or scarlet fever or what. I had a website but didn't bookmark it and can't find it again, it had pics and explanations for all sorts of rashes. Anyone know any other sites? Thanks!

  1. If you are not a doctor, you can't diagnose anything.  A good caring parent would take the child to the doctor.

  2. Dont chance your daughters health to the internet...take her to a doctor

  3. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/baby-ra...

    also babyzone.com

    revolutionhealth.com

    pediatrics.about.com

its always best to take them in tho, my son has gotten many rashes and they all ended up being escema, usually from an allergic reaction

  4. I really would recommend calling the doctor or after-hours care nurse and telling them about this.  If it is something serious, you really want to get it taken care of immediately.  Otherwise, just type in the name of the condition such as "symptoms of scarlet fever" into google, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of website results which will list the symptoms.

  5. I wouldn't try diagnosing it on the internet, call your Dr. ASAP!
