Question:

What's the best website/group for giving a charitable gift (tree donating, adopting an endangered animal)?

I want to give my dad a charitable gift this father's day instead of something he'll never use. I'm looking for a reputable website or corporation I can get this from (like the World Wildlife Federation). I haven't decided what sort of gift yet, but I'm thinking along the lines of something to help with the environment, endangered species, or foreign education. I'm open to any suggestions!!!

Thanks,

Mandi

  1. Dear Mandi,

1.You can gift your father some tree planting certificates from treesforfree.org. Each is for R.s 100 and they will plant a tree sapling in his name and display it too.

2.You can adopt an animal for a year at a zoo or an animal rescue centre. THe WIldlife SOS of Delhi lets you adopt baby bears rescued ffrom dancing tribes. We have adopted one for a year.WE have visiting rights to it.

    3. zoos, like The Mysore, Lucknow Zoo allow you to adopt an animal for a year or six months.

  2. Sreaking of gifts, have you read about the car dealer in Missouri who is giving away a new gun with every purchase of a car?    This is a great idea, and I hope other dealers decide to get on board.

  3. Habitat for Humanity and the Arbor Day Foundation are some possibilities.
