  1. You should take a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Islands such as Antigua should not be missed. Its Capital St. John's is a great place to visit.

  2. I've only been on two cruises to the Caribbean.  I took a Carnival Cruise, in which I was tripping over drunks, when I wasn't busy being ambushed by their obnoxious kids.  Then, two years later, I took a Disney cruise, which believe it or not, kept the kids occupied and far away, and was much more family and fun oriented.  If I did it again, I'd go Disney.

They cost about the same, if I remember correctly.

  3. I always START with this site:

Jamaica would be considered The Western Caribbean.

In August,   Royal Caribbean and Carnival do a cruise to Jamaica.

Now, depending on what your 8 person party is into, this is how you'd choose your cruise.

Royal Caribbean..more expensive. Carnival is less.

You'll get what you pay for though. Most of the Carnival ships are a bit older that go that way (jamaica) and the decor hasn't been as updated.

Carnival's food is better then some others but about the same as Royal Caribbean.

Some of carnival's ships do not have balcony rooms...which for my husband and I ...we prefer.

If you've never been on a cruise before..the rooms are small. Too small for us. (We'd kill eachother..lol)

The balcony allows us to almost have 2 rooms. I like to wake up and have breakfast on the balcony. Sometimes you can wake up to breakfast and dolphins...where else can you sit in pj's with coffee and dolphins!

It all depends on what type of party people you all are as well. Royal Carib is a bit calmer..they don't put up with as much as Carnival does. Carnival reallllllly pushes the drinking as they make more $$ off of the guests.

Go to the site I listed above,..see the prices and dates and then start from there. There is a bunch of cruising travel info on there too.

The prices I usually find on this site to be the cheapest. Then I compare with other sites, and then I call my travel agent and tell him what I want to pay. He may not make money off of booking my cruise, but he'll get credits that allow him to get free cruises when he wants to get away. I'm happy, my agent isn't so happy, and even tries to tell me there's no way to do it...and then he breaks down and tells me fine and he at least gets the points..

Anyway,..there are other sites on the net that will show cheap cruise prices but make sure you read the fine print. They do not show fare with taxes, ect.

The one above is the price. You can also get a price and then call cruise line and book directly with them.

Good luck and have a FAB cruise!

  4. look on www.vacationstogo.com they actually have some pretty good deals. I personally love royal caribbean cruises.

    have fun!
