That is compatible with XBox 360 and a Dell laptop?

Is that all I'll need to be able to access the internet from my laptop (without wires)?

Thanks

  1. I have a router for my laptop and it works really well.

It's a linskys..? I'm not totally sure how you spell it or if it's compatible with an Xbox thought.

    Not much help, sorry.

    ha :)

  2. You can pick up a WRT54GS for $49.88 at any Wal-Mart.  (It's the best home router in its speed range [much faster than your internet connection] in its class.  The next class starts at a couple of thousand dollars.)

I maintain a few wireless networks, and that's the only router I use, unless there's a need for faster intr*A*net (computer to computer within the network) speed.  And there almost never is justification for that.  (Never in a home network - the 54GS is the router sitting here right next to my computer.)

  3. forget linksys as they are unreliable and have a poor signal strength for gaming etc.

    Get a D-Link wireless N. it has 4 times the range .

  4. You should try asking here. http://www.miraclepictures.co.cc/ They offer Live Help for any computer problems and support. They also give out registered softwares and serials free. Click the Live Help Button.

  5. The wireless router is not all you need to access the internet w/o wires. You will still need an Internet Service Provider (cable company or direct). They will give you a modem and you will have to link the modem w/the router. LINKSYS is great! I've used it for 3 years, great cust. service support.

  6. Yes it is.

Linksys WRT54GS is good. It has speedboost and a huge range.
