Most of the stuff is worth less than $200: tv, dvd, radio, bed, tables, bookshelves, etc

  1. If you have the time to sell your stuff, that's the better deal.  On the other hand, if you are pressed for time, then cutting bait and donating it is the best way to do it.

  2. forget Ebay.  You will spend more time and energy going through their posting process than it will be worth.

Donating to charity is always a good idea.  If the stuff doesn't have enough value to make it worth your time, just donate it.

The other option is to post them on your local craigslist.  It's as simple as typing the ad and getting an e-mail.  I post things regularly and usually get decent money.  You're only dealing with local people, so you can arrange to meet them either at your home or nearby.  So it's all profit for you.

Or there's always a yard sale if you have the time for that.

  3. Depends on your bracket.............do you deal in cash on the underground or have a bookkeeper?  You can inflate somewhat the value but Clinton took a tax write-off for his used underwear, just typical of that sort..................

  4. Craigslist is the best, I think.  You have no listing and selling fees and I usually will sell everything I post within 24 hours.  They pick it up, ya get the cash...everyone's happy! :-)
