Question:

What's the big deal about Bertuzzi?

The guy is a marginal 3 rd liner at best. He had 2 good seasons in Vancouver- playing with Naslund in HIS glory days.

He has 51 points in the last 2+ years. Washed up and a distraction. Why would ANaheim need this guy?

  1. Well, for the money he signed with Calgary, I see it as a bargain.  He still has 20 goals a year in him, and who knows, maybe he will return to form if he plays with Iginla.

  2. They don't Spaceboy, the Flames gave him a 1 yr contract.

  3. I think he's become somewhat of a "novelty" item.  I'm a Canucker.....and to be honest, I was happy when he finally got traded because there was so much "drama" and press after his incident with Moore, it was so nice to just have that gone.

  4. He's Calgary property now.

  5. because they are retarded and thing they need more good players

  6. He seems to have inherited the "power-forward" tag, a la Cam Neely... and beyond a few good years, I don't see it. I think the Moore thing took the tiger out of his tank (or the Nads out of his shorts), because since he is just average.

Maybe the Ducks think they can get him playing the way he used to play, but I'm sure his last few stops have felt that way as well..

  7. Ummm......he plays for Calgary now....

  8. The name still carries a certain allure for teams.

Thats why the fan fare will always surround him, much like Lindros in his final years, he still LOOKS the part of the prototypical Power Forward. He has shown he has the scoring touch, he can hit, he doesn't avoid contact. In theory he should still be a very solid player.

It just doesn't translate to success on the ice.

  9. Ya, lol, I guess they dont need "this guy". But for Calgary it seems like a good deal. Bertuzzi will hopefully be willing Owen Nolan's shoes but for a much cheaper price tag and you never know what will happen with guys when they relocate. Hopefully good things! Go flames!....

  10. as, Cheli fan mentioned, apparently they don't need him as much as Calgary does. one year taught them the same lesson that 2 months taught the wings, (and the Panthers tenure also).

after Moore (didn't) hit Bertuzzi, (after first hitting Naslund), i thought he should've been kicked out of the league. however, Moore's anti-hit on Bertuzzi unfortunately left him severely injured which made it a null issue. yes, "he" ... means Moore.

    cue the thumbs down.

  11. After Bertuzzi hit Moore I thought he should have been kicked out of hockey for good.

  12. I hate Anaheim and I'm glad they took that washed up cheap, cowardly bum off of our hands.  I don't know why he's been so overrated for so long but even now I think Anaheim is the only team to see any value in him.

  13. I hate Anehiem so I am glad they are wasting their money on this guys salary
