I've looking for a good Flat Screen LCD TV and noticed that there's two different types of 1080 screens. What's the difference between a 1080p and 1080i?

  1. 1080p is the better quality picture. ("i" means it is displayed on the screen interlaced; "p" means progressive scan) P is a smoother look.
