For me, it's not going to the Disney College Program when I was 20 years old. Someone talked me out of it, twice. I had 2 years in a row that I got accepted, and was talked out of it by someone who I respected at the time. They paid minimum wage and I would have had to pay travel to and from there, and pay housing. It would have been hard because I had to pay housing back at home as well.

I am now 30, and by the time I get my finances and such in order to be able to go to a lower paying job, I'll be around 40-45 years old. Is this too old to start a new career, if I'm still interested at that time?

I now seriously regret not going to work for Disney at that time. Yes, it would have hurt financially, but not as much as the debt I've incurred since then. I'd probably be making less, but would love what I do a lot more.

  1. Growing up too fast-I was married at 16.

  2. Telling a guy that I really loved in the past that I was in love with him. I just wondered what it would have been like.

  3. Not trying harder in college.

  4. It's never too late.. Do what makes you happy.. That's what life is for anyway... to live.. =)

    Back to the question:

I regret not taking the course in College where my heart is closest to.. What makes it even worse is that since I was half hearted about my course, I was having a sort of mediocre performance in school.. Well, I am making up for that anyway, and planning to make up more in the future (by taking another degree/graduate studies/extra units in the field that I really love).. =)

  5. i think you should go for what you want no matter how old you are.

  6. The biggest thing i regret is going out with my 3rd girlfriend in the 3rd grade.

  7. Taking my gf to my prom

  8. Doing what you love at work is very important to your happiness. I left my well paying job recently and now make less money doing what I truly love and I am 29.

If you want to take a risk to do what you want - don't wait! You only have this one life! We usually regret more what we don't do!
