  1. I would have to say 13-14ft wave on Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica. There was a swell that day and man it was good. The biggest waves I have ever seen on Tam too. The main chalange was making the drop. It was a freaking steep wave too! I made a hard hand on rail bottom turn to the right and bairly made it. I looked up and saw all this water over my head it was amazing. It wasn't long, but it was fun. I even got barreled a little too. That was the best ride of my life, aside from full moon surfing but that is different.

  2. To the guy who answered first.

    Really, 30 ft?

    In Hawaii?

Who are you trying to impress here?

Can you tell me where in Hawaii?

    What beach, or break?

Can you tell me what time of the year this was?

I can tell you there's only one time of the year the waves get that big, and it's not every year you get waves like that. And not every beach pumps like that, and when it gets that big there are only a couple of breaks that are rideable.  Oh by the way, when it does get that big, they don't just let ANYONE get in the water. So, where did you surf this 30 ft waves?

  3. 30ft in hawaii, it rocked, but i'm kinda scared of heights so ya ,it was awesome though. the scariest was in point conseption in Ca and there was a bunch of big rocks

  4. Laird Hamilton has got you all beat, last year, he surfed the world biggest wave at over 100 feet at Jaws in Hawaii. Top that.

  5. Maybe 3 ft.? Haha. Yeaah. I'm a beginner. :) In Hawaii.

  6. 6-8 ft Ulu's it was pounding. The biggest challenge was to make sure that you don't get caught on the inside as you will get dragged along the reef!! Learn to duck dive deeper and deeper. This my friend is the only trick!

  7. 16 ft. outside Waikoko's in Hanalei bay. The main challenge was staing on my board (lol). The biggest danger was hitting the reef if I wiped out (which I did eventually). I loved it.

  8. 10-12 foot in Rincon, the danger was from other surfers (thugs)
