What's the chance that a male with a serious charge such as rape will be found 'Not Guilty'?

Well I know someone who was accused of rape but personally I don't think he did it. The female said that she didn't know them (it was the guy that I know and his friend) but she let them in and they played video games for a while. Then after a while they raped her. It doesn't even sound true. Why would she let strangers in? Anyway I know that in like 98% of rape cases they take the woman's side as opposed to the male's side but do you think under the circumstances they'd see that its most likely a lie?

I really don't want to throw this in but I live in the south and its a chance that this plays a major role. The male was african american and the female was caucasian. I'm just saying what I know and I don't mean to seem racist but here in my state its usually based on just that unfortunately.

  1. The entire issue is Consent.  Did she give consent or agree to have s*x.  If not, it is rape.  The law even provides for a situation where someone consents to s*x, s*x begins, then they revoke or take back the consent, but the partner does not stop.  That too, is a rape.

It really depends on how believable the victim is and what facts the prosecutor presents.

No jury likes a s*x crime.  But her story sounds a bit fishy.  I agree the jury will unfortunately not like the inter racial aspect of this charged offense.

  2. Doesn't sound right, but that doesn't mean they don't have evidence.

  3. With DNA evidence the way it is today the truth will show up!
