I will arrive around 9pm in Paris (CDG airport) on July 9. Kinda late so what's the cheapest way to get to Rue de Rome? Is it safe to travel by train at night? This will be my first time in Paris, and Im travelling alone. Thanks!

  1. From the airport take the RER B to Gare du Nord.

Look for the signs indicating "Correspondence" (connection) to the La Chapelle metro station and take Metro line 2 marked "Direction : Porte Dauphine (Marechal de Lattre de Tassigny)" which will take you to the Rome Metro stop.

Paris is relatively free of violent crime and traveling at night is usually not a problem. There will undoubtedly be a lot of other people traveling from the airport into Paris.

Keep an eye on your bag though (and if you have more than one then you're traveling with too much stuff) and keep you passport, return ticket, and money in a money belt to avoid pickpockets.  Sneak thieves and pick pockets are the only criminals you are likely to encounter.
