Question:

What's the cheapest way to ship my stuff?

I am moving out of state (West Coast to Southeast) at the end of the month and I heard it was cheaper to send my stuff via FedEx or UPS instead of checking a bunch of stuff on the plane. I have been looking at FedEx, UPS and DHL sites and none of them seem to have big enough boxes (the biggest are 55 lb. boxes that are less than 2 ft tall). I'm only taking clothes, books, shoes and toiletries (shampoo and c**p like that), but I have a LOT of clothes. I don't have the couple thousand that FedEx said it would take to ship my stuff (at the weight I estimated). Can someone offer advice? Has anyone else ever done this?

  1. Pac it earlier and send it fedex ground

  2. Thought I would give you an idea of what UPS would charge you.

Your 55 lb box ship UPS ground =$65.11

Transit time is 4-5 working days.

If you have more than box and there combined total weight is more then 200 pounds - you'll get a little better rate.

    Hope that helped.
