  1. a bunch of goons are trying to retake a nation under the guise of peacekeeping

  2. Georgia is rebelling.  And Russia is trying to stop them.  And of course, the US just have to gfet involved with everything.  When thay feel like it!!

  3. I'm wondering the same.

  4. a war is going on there... theyre fighting because Georgia was shelling rebels in South Ossetia and most of them were russian citizens. (south ossetia is part of georgia tho) then russia stepped in and attacked georgia. the US transported 2000 georgian soldiers who were helping us in iraq (so theyre a US ally and we also armed and trained them but that was before the conflict) to georgia to fight the russians. georgia pretty much lost and russia asked the georgians for a cease fire under certain terms and georgia agreed to it. but russia lied and is now strolling on towards the georgian capital of tbilisi. georgia is a US ally and most of the world is condemning russia on their actions and wants to kick them out of the G8. many speculate russia is trying to re anex georgia to russia.

  5. South Ossetia, a disputed part of Georgia, didn't want to be part of Georgia and they had some sort of ceasefire in place a few years back.  Georgia recently broke the cease fire and went in with forces to protect the "constitutionality" of the region.  Russia responded, since there are alot of Russians living in the area to "protect" them, although many speculate that Russia is trying to annex the region.
