  1. Take it from a geologist, most likely absolutely none.  China's earthquake could more easily be connected to the immense dams they build.  The change in (water) weight puts a lot of stress on the underlying bedrock.  Bedrock formations stretch for thousands of miles (which is why an earthquake in Illinios can be felt in Florida) so the epicenter does not have to occur directly under a dam.  Do a search for "reservoir induced seismicity" if you want to learn more.

  2. I would guess from Dr Jello's comment that his doctorate is not in geology

In the real world earthquakes are caused by sudden release of energy mostly by movement along fault lines.

The connection between earthquakes and global warming is nothing at all.

  3. About the same as the connection between your TV ,and your bathtub!

  4. You can throw whatever you wish in the global warming hoax that your imagination can concoct.  Why stop at hurricanes, earthquakes and tornados.....

  5. None. China is geographically on quake belt and the occurrences are frequent.

So far world scientist have not identified global warming to earthquakes.

  6. The warmer Earth causes thermal expansion of the Earths crust.  This expansion causes some tectonic plates to rub up against others causing these earthquakes.

  7. It's all the "carbon footprints" left by the billion Chinese citizens walking around.  Wonder if Mr. Gore is gonna find a way to tap that gold mine.

  8. I think no link b.ween them. Its to be changes in earth`s plate structure & plates movements in the earth.

  9. None--check your history.

  10. A few books suppose that polar ice can destabilize the earth's spin and cause the crust (and possibly the mantle) to slip, with earthquakes.  The one under current consideration supposes that Antarctica *was* Atlantis, which slipped into a place where it got colder and the ice piled up.
