I would estimate a two-bedroom apartment at being about EUR 600 per month, plus bills (electricity, gas, water and apartment fees) which would be about EUR 75-100.  If you rent through an agency they charge a non-refundable finder's fee equivalent to two month's rent, and they usually ask for a damage deposit equivalent to one month's rent.  Cooking all your meals at home would probably cost about EUR 50 per week for a family of three.  The International School of Bologna only goes to the fifth grade, fees are at the link below.  I don't know if there would be English-language schooling options after that.


  2. Jetgirl is right, but I think that the rent for a two-bedrooms apartment is a little higher... I pay 750 euros. and not in the more expensive part of town...
