we're traveling there in a few weeks, and are trying to get a feel for the general cost of petrol. we're rented a cottage in tipperary and plan on doing day trips to various parts of the country.

last i knew it was about 1.20 euro/liter, but that was a bit ago. we're trying to stay current on costs to help us budget it better.

thanks!

  1. Gasoline is called Petrol here but whatever you call it is is expensive, more than twice what it costs in the USA. It does pay to shop around.I Came across 1.90 per liter

Petrol stations are required to display their price per litre very prominently so it is easy to compare stations in a locality. Prices can vary by as much as 10c per litre, a difference of about €4.50 to fill an average car.

  2. It's still like that, between 1.15 and 1.22 per litre.

  3. Budget about 1.22 per litre to be on the safe side. And over here we call it 'petrol'.

  4. its around 1.20 1.25 for diesel  1.40 1.47 for petrol

euros of corse.......i live in dublin so it would only be slightly cheaper in tipp

  5. Vasoline?
