  1. I just got out of 9th so I guess I could tell you. It is basically World History ( for social studies ), Earth & Eviromental Science...but if u already took it then Biology, English 1 ( or 9 ), Algebra 1 ( if you already have taken it then you will take Geometry ). And of course different electives.

I gave you two sciences and math because some states already had Algebra 1 and Earth & Eviromental Science in 8th grade. My friend is from New York me and told of the different curriculm and classes they have, and I am sure New Jersey is pretty close to it. I live in North Carolina, but people from up north said the classes are basically the same.

        GOOD LUCK! Hope I helped!

btw 9th and 8th are two different lifestyles with a whole lot of changes so just to warn you prepare yourself!

  2. well you haven't really specified where in new jersey you live or what type of school you go to or even whether you are in accelerated/honors classes

at least in most places for non-honors:

    -Integrated science(earth/physical science)

-English is just a bunch of lit. and essays

-Math is whatever comes after what you took last year. The sequence is

prealgebra-algebra1-algebra2/geometry(... depends)-precalculus-ap Calculus AB or BC

-History:either world history or nothing. Where I live we take health and geography for a semester each

-Elective: yeah...w/e you signed up for

    -Pe: .....

If you're in honors english and history are the same just harder.

Math will usually be Algebra 2 or Geometry honors

Science is usually honors biology. I've heard some schools do physics though

    everything else is the same

keep in mind some of this is inaccurate because it varied curriculums between districts and even schools.

You should probably ask someone who goes to your high school to determine if this information applies to you

you sould also check your high school's website if they have one.

    wheww that was long :)

  3. dude, why? it's not worth it. do school at school. besides, the 9th grade isn't even that hard. if you want to look good to colleges find a place to do community service. a really good place that you can go to consistently (hospital, soup kitchen, charity place)
