What's the deal behind Ouija boards?

I have heard about them, I don't understand how they work, like is it fake and the person just moves their hands on their own? I want to try one because I'm curious. Is it just a wooden board with letters all over it, and a circle thing that you put your hands on?

  1. If you put a group of anyone around a Ouija board, it's going to talk to them. If you blindfold those people, the board will only "speak" in gibberish. This means that somehow the people playing are effecting the board, perhaps subconsciously. Like you, I don't see how it is possible for a mass manufactured board game to have magical powers.

  2. The people using the ouija board makes it work.  Here are a couple of links that explain it.

  3. These boards are fake, I mean Come on, "spirits" don't exist.

They were invented in the 1800's by a small English company and were made by Hasbro.

You are supposed to put your fingers lightly on the pointer, and ask it a question, and it will "supposedly" move to the letters / #'s to make the answer.

  4. Don't mess with 'em, if you want my opinion.  My friends and I had one in an old abandoned house one night, asking all sorts of silly, stupid questions.  We all went home afterwards, and thought nothing of it, until that abandoned house burned down the next day.

  5. I have seen some creepy things happen with those things!!  I will never go near one again.  Just recently the stores like Target and Walmart stopped selling them.  Can't believe they were on the shelves as long as they were!  Scary!  There's enough evil in the world, I don't need to give it an invite into my life!

  6. When I was in jr high, my friends and I started playing with one. It was funny cause I totally felt them moving it. They would ask it something then turn to see me to see if i was nodding my head. But I just played for fun. I told one of my teachers if he thought it was real. He gave me this awful look with watery eyes and said "never ever play that thing." I wonder why, but I didn't want to ask him anymore.

  7. you definitely have to be a Christian to agree with what I'm about to say but, it's demons bro. they are real and they love using this dumb little game to confuse and scare people, if they can misdirect you from God then they've succeeded in their plan and possibly opened you up to a lot of deeper things that i promise you that you don't want any part of. please stay away from them. that's why there is so many crazy stories surrounding them. please email me for further expansion on this subject if you want
