What's the deal with Bryan McCabe?

these guys have the answer already, however I feel McCabe is being mistreated, he was offered a deal that involved a NTC and should be allowed to have it honored without taking the amount of ridicule he has endured because of it.

Both parties are in the wrong, in my opinion, but the scales tip more towards the d-man. McCabe, like Tucker, slacked all season after he signed his massive contract (because most Leafs players are treated like royalty, regardless of what happens), like scoring a goal in his own net with less than 5 seconds left in OT.

Fletcher, meanwhile, is trying to convince him to waive his no-trade or no-movement just to get rid of unnecessary baggage. He does have the option of buying him out, but it looks like it's too much. I have heard Fletcher deny that they will bar McCabe from training camp though. I think things will start unfolding in early August.

Add, Fletcher isn't the guy who awarded the no-trade contracts the former GM signed. He's just the guy who's stuck cleaning up the mess.
