Question:

What's the deal with Cops anyway?

So I was driving down the road and traffic was really bad but the whole shoulder of the road was clear so I pulled to the side and drove. This motorcycle cop pulls up next to me and yells at me that you should only drive in the travel lanes. What's the deal with that? Why did he have to yell and be rude? Don't cops understand that I'm too cute to sit in traffic?

Obviously he knew he was wrong cause he didn't pull me over or anything just yelled at me. So I just said WHATEVER to him and went on my way. But I'm still really bothered by his BAD attitude and people skills. I'm thinking I should file a complaint. What do you think?

  1. If it was me, i would have given you a ticket for driving in an unauthorized area, blocking emergency lane and anything else i could have for your attitude of "whatever" Im sure if you go make a complaint it would be the biggest mistake of your life, unless you dont live in the area where you were driving and never plan on driving there again...The shoulder is only for emergency vehicles so that when there is traffic they can get by, its not for so called "cute people" who dont want to sit in traffic. Be happy that he didnt write you out citations and just yelled at you!

  2. um cause you were driving in the breakdown lane which is for just what the name implies for people who's car breaks down or have a medical emergency . you are lucky he did not give you a ticket especially since you said whatever to him. i know police who would have given you just because you said that

  3. If you honestly believe you have been slighted, go to your local state police and explain, as you did here, what you did, why you did it, and what the motorcycle cop said to you and how it made you feel. Believe me, they will take action real fast!

Actually, if you make a copy of this question and sign your name to it and give it to the officer on duty and tell him/her you want him/her to do his/her job, I'm sure he/she will get right on it for you.

    Best of Luck to You

  4. You committed a violation and therefore you should have got a ticket-be grateful that you didn't instead of coming on here and whining like a baby.

  5. They just get tired of repeating themselves to people who don't abide by the rules....don't you yell when you get fed up? And he probably yelled due to the fact you two were in motion, you need to yell to be heard over a motorcycle

  6. I think that you're an idiot and should have your drivers license suspended. I also think that you're very lucky that you didn't get a ticket.

The cop probably yelled at you because he has to deal with stupid people like you all day long. Take the bus!

  7. I think you're lucky he let you go for driving on the shoulder illegally.  I would have given you every ticket I could think of if I had caught you.

  8. He had every right to yell at you that's illegal to drive on the shoulder.  That is reserved for broke down cars, police, paramedics, fire engines, tow trucks.  Your lucky you didn't get a ticket if I was him I would have given you a fat one.  I'm thinking you should go back to drivers training and learn what lanes are for traveling and what shoulders are for.  Just last week there was a big wreck on the freeway going toward my house i was going to work opposite way but there were emergency vechiles using the shoulders I actually saw a fire truck driving on the left shoulder to get to the accident.  You better hope he doesn't put and apd out on your car for evading a police officer.  sorry for saying the next day but it feels like no one thinks but really I don't get it duh??????  I'm sticking with the cop your wrong be happy you didn't get fined.

  9. You are an idiot. It is illegal to drive on the shoulder. You're very lucky you didn't get a ticket.
