If you own inuyasha movie 2 and watch the special footage, they directly say to you at some point that it is watched and dubbed in 60 different nations! That doesn't make any sense to me. Please answer.

  1. is the series actually cut short ? because i was thinking of watching it but i dont want to get to the last episode and realise the story isnt finished and there not planing on finishing it.

  2. Just because the early episodes are popular elsewhere doesn't mean the latest ones weren't doing horribly in Japan. There are plenty of shows in the US that do horribly here, but do well in parts of Europe. That doesn't mean the show is going to be allowed to continue.

Inuyasha's ratings in the US were always pretty good. But a Japanese animation company isn't going to worry about that (except for Production IG, which is a little wierd in aiming some of their anime such as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex at Western audiences).

  3. Inuyasha wasen't cut short because of low ratings it is actually one of the most popular animes in Japan.  It stopped because it caught up with the manga and the manga wasent finshed yet.  It's finnished now and i think it will be continued eventually.  Actually in japan a new episode was shown at the rumiko takhashi (sp?) event called  "Black Tetsuega".  you can read an over veiw of the episode some where but i dont remember where.

  4. I really am not sure why Inu Yasha was cut short in Japan, and they may not finish. In Japan, Inu Yasha ended in 2004. It is 2008. The manga may have ended but that does not mean that they will start up the series again. This same scenarion has happend before to other anime, in which the anime ends before the manga. My guess for Inu Yasha ending was that its reign was over.

  5. At the Inuyasha panel at Otakon, they said they're planning on finishing it up. I think they stopped making it because it was too close to the manga like Naruto was, but they didn't want to make a bunch of fillers. (I don't know, I don't watch Inuyasha often)

Well, the manga recently finished so the anime should start up again.

  6. I guess people are finally realizing that Inuyasha sucks...

  7. Yeah, they only stopped it short because i caught up with the manga. But now that the manga is done, I don't know if they plan on continuing it. And it's not that it got stopped because no one was watching it. Lots of people watched Inuyasha.
