What's the deal with skinny jeans?

First skaters started wearin 'em, and now everyone is. It's so weird, It makes everyone look like their legs can't breathe, and they're like wannabe skaters. I know I sound dorky, but what's up with that?

i thought the exact same thing, until i tried on a pair to humor myself. i found out that they are very attractive and look really nice on me. i think they are very very high fashion and they look great on all people. its just a personal preference. and "skaters" arent the only ones who wear them  :]

Well that's your own opinion. And skaters didn't start wearing them. Skinny jeans were what people wore wayy back. And besides everyone has their own sense of style. I wear them also because I like the way they look. I don't try to follow other people. Whatever I like, I'll buy it whether it's in style or not.

Haha, I'd have to agree..I mean I guess they look okay on some people, but it's one of those trends that I wish hadn't caught on, because they really don't look great on most people. But I'm sure I don't look great in everything I wear, so I shouldn't judge.

I wear them. Im not trying to be skater, Im not a wannabe. I just happen to like them, and the way they fit. Whats up with you?

Everyone has their own likes and dislikes....just because you dont like them doesnt mean i have to too.

Skaters didn't start wearing them- hair metal bands in the 80's did. The style actually dates back to the 50's. If someone wants to wear skinny jeans, they can d**n well wear them. Most of the people I know that wear them (including me) aren't skaters, so I dunno where you got that idea from.
