  1. In rugby they don't wear helmets, and they can't pass it forwards, you can only kick it forwards, and you can only pass it backwards, and a touchdown is called a tri.  And only people in Australia and England play it, but you don't need to know everything, you're just an ugly weird guy.

  2. The biggest difference is that play doesn't ever stop until the ball goes out of bounds or somebody scores.  Players can run forward but have to pass the ball backwards.  There is no blocking allowed.  In rugby union rules, a try is worth 5 points, the kick after is worth 2, and a drop kick, which is legal at any time in play, is worth 3.  The offense essentially can hold on to the ball until they score or the defense takes it away.  There's a ton of other rules differences, but that at least is the skeleton of play.  Also, it's played all over the world, second only to soccer in popularity.

  3. comming from an aussie. it not as fast but in general play its a lot tougher physically.

  4. not only ppl in england and australia play it as some daft mare answered in here

  5. complete dif games and rules and set up

  6. American footballers have protection & money, Rugby players have brains & balls!
