What's the difference between DVD RW & DVD R?

Eh,, i bought DVD RW and brurned videos pics..etc in it but now whenever i wanna use it , it doesnt open its like i didnt put a cd in cpu system..i heard ppl use DVD-RW to burned & watch videos & it works for them..sup with mine?

  1. DVD R-  are one time writiable discs.  You can only put things on them once before finalizing them

    DVD-RW - are ones you can use over and over and keep recording stuff, but generally don't work as well and aren't as high of quality. I've always used DVD-R because they are much more reliable.  I know you can't re-write anything to them after you have finalized them, but at least they work!  Good luck!


  2. DVD-R write once only, DVD-RW are rewritable many times, but the quality deterates over time 'cos old some of the data don't get erased.  

  3. DVD-ReWrite - means you can format and reuse

    DVD-R mean write once

  4. DVD RW means you can burn information onto it, delete it later, and put more on later. Almost like a flash drive.

    DVD R means you can only do that once. Put info on it, and it's there permanently.

    Are you sure your computer has the ability to burn DVDs?
