for a while i thought the two were obviously completely different without giving it much thought. but when i really think about it, i find these two disciplines almost identical. the way i see it, they are the same except for one small diff. archeaologists discover history in the field, and basically give historians the tools and facts they need to even be historians in the first place. so really, all we even need is archeaology.

  1. archelogy reveals history before writing was invented

  2. Really they are interdependent. If historians didn't rummage through stacks of old documents to make significant statements about the past, then archaeologists would not have any documentary evidence to back up their findings in the field which builds a much more solid case.

  3. It is lincked in such a way that each can not do without the other, history can be told by word of mouth but it is the archealogy which can prove it,so there is a link, and the historians can prove their point by useing archealogy.
