  1. Extra horsepower and a governing body (NASCAR) willing to bend over for the team he drivers for (Toyota).

Other than that, he's just as cocky and wreckless as he's ever been.  I never thought the day would come that Kurt Busch would seem mature compared to another driver...guess the brothers apple didn't fall far.

  2. About 35 horsepower and some great luck.

  3. Horsepower, yes.

But I was Kyle's fan last year, too, and I think alot has to do with the fact that he's out to prove himself, he has a fire in him that I've never seen before, he's a kid on a mission.

So, horsepower+I'll show you attitude=the Kyle Busch we're seeing now.

  4. It is a combination of things.  The Toyota's help, that car is finally competitive.  Being with Joe Gibbs is better for Kyle.  I think in the way the team handles him and Hendricks did favor Johnson and Gordon.  Last, and most important, he has an extra year of experience and maturity.

  5. Hes not driving as wreckless as before, hes keeping it running strong at the end and he also is trying to show hendrick the mistake he made by replacing him

  6. I am going to get philosophical and say that its Karma.  Kyle found the right place for him.  You know people don't always want to change but sometimes change is good and in this case change was very good.

  7. Toyota.

  8. He's made jr's fans mad!     But how cool is that?

  9. Joe Gibbs and Toyota. Gibbs must be a heckuva guy to have kept Tony Stewart somewhat focused over the last bunch of years. All that horsepower is useless in a car that won't turn.

  10. Toyota and Joe Gibbs

  11. I think he has the same driving technique as last year. The only difference is last year he wrecked himself more. Maybe he has somewhat harnassed his ability? That with the 30 more horsepower have helped him to win more races.

Which race was it last year that he and Gordon were gearing up for the restart, and the final few laps, when Rick came over the radio and told Kyle that if he was faster Jeff would let him go by. But, NOT to wreck Jeff and himself trying to race eachother for the win? Not sure why your question made me think of that.

  12. experience

  13. He is in a car that NASCAR gave an advantage to because they sucked last year. The Toyotas are not on an even playing field. That is the only reason he wins. He hit the wall 5 or 6 times at Darlington and came away with the win. There is no way any other car could have done that. He also couldn't win at Richmond so he had to push Jr out of the way. Edwards had a run like Busch earlier so Busch will slow down. Jr. is the only consistant one and the wins and the championship will come this year for Jr.

  14. That he's not at hendrick motorsports. I think he could have been as dominate last year as this year but I don't think Rick Hendrick wanted him to win because he wanted Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon to win. That's my opinion

  15. still just as ugly and big ear'd as ever-can't stomach looking at him!!

  16. He can actually be himself, plus toyota did their homework over the off season!

    Go JGR!

  17. He's one year older. He'll begin crashing out.
