Last year he was nearly run out of town with an ERA over 5. Thisyear he has a shot at 20 wins. What's he doing differently?

  1. he basically has more confidence in his pitches and is throwing so many more strikes and he's mixing speeds on his pitches too

  2. Who didn't see the 'roid comments coming? *rolleyes*

Anyway, he's adjusted his game. And I'm happier for it.

  3. Probably the roids...

nah kidding, he's just adjusted properly.

  4. if you watch ESPN and they say anything about the yankees steve phillips ALWAYS says mike mussina is pitching inside more. and with that nasty sinker/2-seam fastball, i'd pitch inside alot, too. so im assuming thats what hes doing differently this season.

  5. Location Location Location

  6. HGH

  7. Got to agree wit the first feller, that Mussina boy shor duz fire em in der now aftur that HgH.

Now dat mel feller down below iz purty smart cuz he knows musina and most of dat der teem still shoots it in each udders backsides. Keep talkin mel u aint bright but u is peculiar.

  8. Wisdom comes with age. He's learned where batters don't like to be pitched so he pitches it there.

  9. Much better control of his breaking ball.  He's been locating each pitch much better.  Mainly he's been keeping the ball down.
