  1. They are all Britons.... so.... s**+.t.... greetings from Oklahoma, USA!

  2. The Met Police is the Police Authority covering London and Greater London.

Because it is the largest Police Authority in the UK it does have some say in the Political make up of the Police in general within the UK.

It is also supposed to be the centralised clearing house of Police Information.

They are based at Scotland Yard, since knocked down and re-built as New Scotland Yard.

So, in slang terminology no difference.

  3. Scotland Yard, or New Scotland Yard these days, is the headquarters of the London Metropolitan Police.

    Hope this helps.

  4. I bet they would p**s in thier pants if they met up with the LAPD lol.

  5. The Metropolitan Police is the law enforcement agency for London.

Scotland Yard is a building, the HQ of the Met.

  6. Nothing,...they are ALL *****ers!

  7. Scotland Yard is the headquarters of London's Metropolitan Police, responsible for safety, crime investigation, and emergency response. Scotland Yard refers to the building in which the police station is headquartered, which was originally on Great Scotland Yard before moving to Broadway Street in 1967. The name stuck after the move, and Scotland Yard has become a symbol for police work and British law enforcement in general.

  8. Scotland yard and the metropolitan police are all the same. Scotland yard is the name of the met's headquarters, and is so called because before it moved to its new Headquarters it was based in Scotland Yard in London. It is now known as New Scotland Yard.
