What's the difference between Superbike and Supersport?!?

I'm watching something on Eurosport but I don't really get it! Is it like 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP classes? Or is it a whole different thing?

  1. the simple answer is what they are allowed to do to the bikes to enhance performance. super sport basically straight out of the shop. very little modification. super bike things like gear ratios suspension  and tyres are allowed. I think that's about it. sorry there is superstock (basic) supersport (few modifications) super bike (full race set up)


  2. Super bike are 1000 cc road based bikes, where as super sport are 600cc road based bikes.

    The only decent "super" racing is the AMA and the British championship. The WSB that you are watching a boring to dead.
