What's the difference between T-bone and Porterhouse steaks?

  2. The porterhouse has a bigger 'tender piece' on the smaller side of the T.  The T-bone has very little meat on the small side.

  3. actualy the porterhouse comes from the top section of the loin where it is wider about 4 to 6 porterhouse steaks to the loin then the t bone is next with the strip on one side of the bone is thiner .

  4. well its actually the same cut...the bone is in the middle towards the top of the "slab, when cut into steaks the top half with the bone is called t-bone steaks.. and inturn the lower without the bone is your  porterhouse
