  1. Here is a great quote on this.

"The choice between TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) and AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a choice between old and new technologies, respectively. So the short answer to your question is that AES is more secure."

    Here is the full article.

This is one of the better articles (easy to understand anyway).

But like stated above.. the password used is the real key to either one!

Use a simple password - get cracked!

I usually make a sentence to use as the password.. like

"Which 1 is Better WPA or WPA2 2 secure My own network from malicious mean cruel bandwidth stealling no good Varmints!"

    Which becomes the password

    W1iBWoW2sMonfmmcbsngV

That should take a few years even for WPA.

  2. WPA-PSK

clients are authenticated in accordance with WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access). A password ("PSK passphrase") is required to log into the wireless network.

    WPA2-PSK

Clients are authenticated in accordance with WPA2 (IEEE802.11i). A password ("PSK passphrase") is required to log into the wireless network.

think you should go for AES cause its more secure than TKIP
