  1. 4 years is longer, jk. With 4 years i think you get a little bit better understanding of everything, and you get more opportunities. 2 years is just the quicker version, idk, don't listen to me.

  2. i am a nursing student who recently switched from a 2 yr to a 4 yr program.  with all the prereq's a 2 yr is basically a 3 yr and a 4 yr is a 5 yr.  you will receive more money, be more likely to be put into a supervisory position and promote faster.  and if you want to go back for your masters you only have to go to school for approx. 18 months instead of 4 more years.  i feel that you are more likely to receive a better paying job with more incentives if you have a bachelors degree behind you.  hope this helps you

  3. The amount of money you'll make and the designation you will recieve.

Also, if you ever want to get into management, most of the time you need a B.S. (RN) so it would take another two years.

However, if you want to steer clear of management, then just go for the A.S. (LPN).

  4. A two year degree is an Associates degree of Nursing, (ADN)  the 4 year degree is the Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).  The ADN is considered entry level, and BSN professional.

All new graduate nurses will make the same.  The difference between the two will come after some time and experience.    BSN will eventually earn more than the ADN b/c that nurse will be able to hold more supervisory and administrative jobs.

If you are trying to decide which one is better for you to get, there are many pros and cons to both.  Its a matter of the time and money you have.   You may need to work immediatly and can't wait the 4 yrs for you BSN so a ADN will be perfect.   Once you get your ADN you can always go back and get your BSN or even your MSN.  Look at each program and decide what fits your schedule best.
