What's the difference between a Duvet, Coverlet and a Comforter?

  1. A duvet is a big fluffy thing either filled with feathers or poly, usually white  and is really warm.  A coverlet is a small blanket or quit used for legs, shoulders or decoration, and a comforter is a pretty, warm tied thing that is used instead of a bed spread.


  2. Duvet  is similar to a pillow case in that your comforter slips inside giving you a whole new look.  Coverlet is a lightweight spread that is for decorative purposes.  Comforter is a very warm blanket filled with down feathers or batting.
