What's the difference between a Mazda 3 and a Mazda 6?

I'm looking to buy one of them and I just wanted to know all of the differences between the two.

Almost everything.

3 is a compact with 4 cylinder engines.

6 is a midsize with 4 & 6 cylinder engines.

The Mazda3 comes in three flavors:  a 2.0 4-cylinder, a 2.3 4-cylinder and a high-performance 2.3 (known as a Mazdaspeed 3).

All three are quite nice.  The Mazdaspeed 3 is absolutely incredible.  The normal 2.3 is quite peppy and a very enjoyable ride.   We recently tested all three, along with a Honda Civic.  I've always loved Hondas, but the 2.3 Mazda 3 was, in my opinion, a far better car for just about the same price.
