What's the difference between a aesthetic and reconstructive dentist and a cosmetic dentist...?

i am thinking about getting porcelain veneers and i am confused as to which dentist to choose. PLEASE HELP

  1. If you are getting veneers go to a cosmetic dentist. They can all place veneers however a cosmetic dentist will be a professional in that field.

Reconstructive dentist usually works with complex cases,  such as repairing the jaws and such after an automobile accident,  or in the case that someone is deformed,  etc.,    so a cosmetic dentist is one who specializes in making smiles look great (most movie stars go to a cosmetic dentist to get their "perfect"  teeth).    

    For veneers,  this would be the dentist to see,  be careful though,  insurance doesn't usually cover dental procedures done just to look nice !
