  1. The field is longer (actually, I'm surprised they haven't gone metric with it).

    The field is wider.

    Offense can have two men in motion at the same time.

    Defense has to line up one yard off the ball.

    Punts have to be returned, or the kicking team gets a point.

    The ball is narrower, and more aerdynamic.  Similar to how the old AFL ball used to be.

    Only three downs to make 15 yards, so they are throwing all the time.

    The players are generally smaller and faster than the NFL.

    A certain percentage of their roster has to be Canadien.

    They have two teams with the same name.

    Their season runs over the summer.


  2. cfl has a wider & longer field

    bigger end zones

    you can score on a kick off if the ball goes thru the uprights

    you only have 3 downs
