  1. The term "concept" is traced back to 1550–60 (l. conceptum - something conceived), but what is today termed "the classical theory of concepts" is the theory of Aristotle on the definition of terms while the word theory has many distinct meanings in different fields of knowledge, depending on their methodologies and the context of discussion.

    Hope I helped. :)

  2. A concept is a set of ideas unorganized, a theory is organized and can be tested.

    e.g. 1

concept- "books in a library should be organized"

Theory1-" books in the library should be organized alphanumerically"

Theory2-"books in the library should be organized by the dewey decimal system"
